UWA is a simple widget format based on web standards such as HTML, CSS, XML and Javascript. It was originally developed by Netvibes, the personalized page pioneer.

Netvibes released some useful components as open source on netvibes.org:

• UWA Javascript Runtime: to run UWA widgets
• PHP Exposition libraries: to parse and compile UWA widgets
• Exposition widget server: to serve widgets to end users

To date, we released one UWA related project:

• UWA Widgets Wordpress plugin: let users add UWA widgets on their Wordpress dashboard
